Citi has made three appointments to its custody and fund services division. All are new roles and described as strategic hires.
Sean Tuffy becomes head of market and regulatory intelligence for Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea), joining from Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) where he was most recently head of strategy for Europe and Asia.
Tuffy, who built and ran BBH’s regulatory intelligence operation and founded the ‘On The Regs’ blog, is based in Dublin.
Martin Jacobs has left State Street after ten years to become Citi’s data product manager for Emea. At State Street Jacobs led the Emea digitisation strategy for client engagement and other previous roles included technology relationship manager.
At Citi he will support the implementation of the bank’s new Velocity Clarity platform.
Gareth Myburgh also joins from BBH where he was a senior ETF product manager. Myburgh, who has also worked for State Street, will be ETF product manager at Citi.
Each of the new recruits reports to Pervaiz Panjwani, Citi’s Emea head of custody and fund services.
Also this year, Citi hired Matthew Bax from JP Morgan as Emea head of sales for custody and fund Services, and Aziz Arib joined Citi from BNP Paribas as a senior custody foreign exchange sales manager.
