Franklin Templeton has appointed Dean Heaney as head of UK institutional, a role previously held by Jennifer Ockwell. Heaney, who joins from Invesco where he was head of government and strategic institutions, will be responsible for overseeing relationships with consultants and developing sales and marketing activities.
Based in London he reports to UK country head Martyn Gilbey and will work closely with the firm’s global consultant relationship teams.
Prior to working at Invesco, Heaney was institutional sales director for the UK at Pioneer Investments (now Amundi). He has also held roles at Royal London Asset Management and Daiwa SB Investments.
Gilbey said: “He brings a wealth of experience, industry knowledge, and institutional expertise which will be greatly additive as we continue to develop our institutional business in the UK.”
