Investment solution provider Fidelity International has appointed Christine Baalham and Tom Record as equal co-portfolio managers in its global equity team.
New appointments follow portfolio manager Jeremy Podger’s decision to step down from active portfolio management in March 2024. While remaining a senior advisor at Fidelity, he will provide mentorship and investment insight, leveraging his expertise for the firm.
Based in London, Christine and Tom, will work together as equal co-portfolio managers on the UK domiciled Fidelity Global Special Situations Fund, and the Luxembourg domiciled Fidelity Funds – World Fund.
Christine Baalham, with approximately 20 years of investment experience, joins Fidelity from Ninety One. Previously, she served as co-portfolio manager on the core Global Equity Fund and was a founding member of the successful 4Factor equity team. Earlier, she held research and portfolio management positions at Schroders.
Tom Record, with around 20 years of investment experience, comes to Fidelity from Liontrust, where he was a member of its Global Fundamental team. He joined Liontrust in April 2022 through the acquisition of Majedie Asset Management, where he managed funds for eight years. Before Majedie, Tom served as an Investment Manager at Baillie Gifford, overseeing institutional portfolios.
