Pan-European real estate investment manager MARK has hired a new managing director and general counsel.
Nick Russell will assume responsibility for all legal and regulatory aspects of MARK’s business including fund formation, governance and compliance in addition to overseeing transaction execution.
Additionally, he will play a key role in strengthening the company’s legal, governance and regulatory footprint to support MARK’s multi-platform strategy, which includes urban logistics specialist Crossbay and Norwegian prime retail and office asset manager Promenaden.
With over two decades of senior legal experience, Russell served as General Counsel for Henderson Park before joining. At Henderson Park, he successfully structured and closed funds exceeding $6bn in capital commitments. Russell also managed the acquisition and disposal of significant assets across Europe and the US. His career began at Goldman Sachs in 1998, where he spent 14 years, eventually holding the position of Executive Director and Senior Counsel to Goldman’s European Special Situations Group.
