Hubert Dänner has left Amundi and is to join Munich-based asset manager Assenagon Group as head of sales.
Dänner will join Assenagon, which has about €20 billion of assets under management, on November 13, reporting to Hans Günther Bonk, the founder of Assenagon who previously acted as sales head.
Dänner was Amundi’s country head for Germany and Austria, and, according to Assenagon, he and his team expanded Amundi’s assets under management sixfold between 2006 and 2015.
Dänner’s career has also taken in Crédit Agricole-CIB in Frankfurt, where he held the position of head of corporate sales in capital markets between 2002 and 2006.
He joins Assenagon as the firm celebrates its 10th anniversary and is on an expansion drive.
“As part of our growth strategy, we continue to expand our sales expertise and capabilities,” said Günther Bonk.
