Miami-headquartered Allvue Systems, an investment management technology solutions provider for alternative asset managers, has launched an AI-powered knowledge agent to support private equity and fund administration professionals.
The tool, Andi, is available on its fund accounting platform. It aims to streamline complex operational tasks and improve access to information.
Integrated via a browser extension, the tool assists with functions such as capital calls, equity pickups, issuer and security setup, fund permissions and vendor payments. It provides answers sourced directly from Allvue’s product documentation and adapts to contextual user input in real time.
AI’s “black box” funds and energy consumption raise concerns
The tool is part of Allvue’s broader push to apply AI across its platform, reflecting a growing trend among private markets firms to invest in technologies that improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Security and ease of use are central to the design. Andi processes data entirely in memory, with no retention or use for AI training, and is available as a browser extension for Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
The rollout comes amid a wider industry shift toward automation, as highlighted by Allvue’s recent GP Outlook Survey and broader research suggesting most private equity firms plan to expand their use of AI in the near term.
Future updates to Andi are expected to include enhanced data querying and task automation capabilities, aimed at deepening its role in day-to-day fund operations.
