Japan investment boutique Zennor Asset Management has soft closed its flagship IUP Zennor Japan Fund after assets passed the $1bn level.
The firm said it was honouring a promise to existing investors, that it would not allow the funds’s size to compromise its investment flexibility or performance potential over time.
Additionally, it has announced that Nicolò Vezzoso, head of Fundamental Global Equity strategies at Anima, the Italian fund provider, will join its portfolio management team alongside founding partner James Salter and CIO David Mitchinson.
Vezzoso has a decade of Japanese equity markets experience and will form part of the team managing a new Japan ‘larger cap’ fund, slated for launch in 2026.
