WisdomTree is expanding its Iberia sales team with the hire of Carlos de Andrés, CFA, as director of Iberia sales.
Andrés will focus on supporting WisdomTree’s sales and business development plans across Spain and Andorra and will be based in Madrid, reporting to Adrià Beso, head of Iberia distribution.
His responsibilities will include distributing WisdomTree’s range of ETFs and ETPs and broadening WisdomTree’s client base in the region with a focus on institutions and intermediaries.
Andrés joins from Allfunds Investment Solutions Sales team, where he was responsible for the design and execution of the Iberian business development strategy.
Before that, he worked at DWS for five years in a senior sales role covering private banking and institutional clients in Spain and has held a variety of roles at Deutsche Bank and CaixaBank (Banco de Valencia).
Andrés is also a professor of Asset Management at IE Business School in Madrid and a CFA Charterholder.
Adria Beso said the appointment highlighted WisdomTree’s growth ambitions in the region.
