WisdomTree is the latest ETF provider to tap into Europe’s infrastructure sector.
The US-based asset manager has launched the WisdomTree Europe infrastructure Ucits ETF.
The new fund will be added to WisdomTree’s thematic range of ETFs and will be traded on Deutsche Boerse, Borsa Italiana, Euronext Paris and SIX Swiss Exchange, with a listing on the London Stock Exchange to follow on 18 March.
The proprietary index will track companies involved in the construction and development of transportation, renewable energy infrastructure, power transmission and distribution.
The index excludes utilities and companies running existing networks in order to focus on Europe’s “infrastructure transformation”.
According to WisdomTree, the launch is timely given that Nato members committed to increase defence and security spending to 5% by 2035 with 3.5% allocated to military spending and the remaining 1.5% allocated to infrastructure and resilience.
WisdomTree launched a Europe Defence Ucits ETF in June 2025. But the firm is not alone in targeting Europe’s infrastructure and defence sectors as a source of investment.
Global X and First Trust have also recently launched ETFs tracking European infrastructure providers while HANetf launched its Making Europe Great Again Ucits ETF in December 2025.
