JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has made a double appointment to its sustainable investing team.
Roland Rott has been appointed to a newly-created role, as head of sustainable investing research based in London, while Soňa Stadtelmeyer-Petru (pictured) has been appointed as lead sustainable investing strategist in EMEA. Both hires will report to the global head of sustainable investing, Jennifer Wu.

“Their skill sets are a great compliment to the existing team, which includes a diverse mix of talent ranging from sustainable investing specialists, stewardship specialists, climate scientists, academics, researchers, as well as those with a background in traditional fundamental portfolio management.”
Rott will be focused on overseeing a team dedicated to developing ESG research, data and solutions for the firm’s portfolio managers and client base. Rott and his team will take responsibility for the firm’s ESG score and the implementation of climate analytics into investment processes.
Stadtelmeyer-Petru will be focused on overseeing sustainable investing efforts in EMEA, with her team working to support the needs and wants of clients across EMEA. She will also work on the development of products seeking to meet client and regulatory standards.
Rott joins JPMAM from La Française Group, where he served as head of ESG and sustainable investment research, managing an ESG-based research team and covering the firm’s equity and credit portfolios.
Stadtelmeyer-Petru joins from Allianz Investment Management, where she had worked since 2012. Her most recent role at the firm was heading up Allianz’s sustainable investment business from Munich.
