State Street Global Advisors, the asset management arm of State Street Corporation, has announced Ann Prendergast as the new head of Emea.
Prendergast takes over the role from Rory Tobin, who retired in June 2023 after nine years with the company.
Joining State Street in 2000 as a relationship manager, Prendergast has since held various positions within the firm, showcasing a trajectory of increasing responsibility.
Most recently, she led State Street Global Advisors Europe, Ltd., overseeing the European Union-based portfolio management, distribution, product development, fund management and operations.
In her new role, Prendergast will report to President and CEO Yie-Hsin Hung and will continue to lead State Street Global Advisors Europe, Ltd.
Her responsibilities will encompass the development and execution of the firm’s strategic direction in Europe, focusing on growth and regulatory oversight for the Emea region.
She will manage a team of around 500 professionals and will remain based in the Dublin office.
