State Street Global Advisors’ SPDR exchange-traded fund (ETF) platform has launched of a range of products on the London Stock Exchange.
The eleven Irish-domiciled funds consist of both fixed income and physically backed equity products, including the first European-based ETF to invest in local-currency emerging market debt.
A further five funds focus on emerging market equities, three on developed market bonds and two on global equities.
State Street is one of the world’s largest ETF providers and manages the world’s largest ETF by assets, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF, in the US.
The new UK range expands the firm’s European offerings by complementing existing SPDR funds listed on the Euronext Paris and Deutsche Boerse.
