Quilter, the adviser platform, has appointed Paul Canning as business development manager for London and the South-East.
The new role is part of a revamped and regionally focused business development team led by Graham Folley, Quilter’s head of business development and discretionary sales.
Canning, with over 30 years of experience in financial services, has joined Quilter after 17 years at Abrdn, where he held the position of strategic relationship director. His background also includes roles at Royal London, RSA and Aviva.
In his capacity at Quilter, Canning will concentrate on cultivating enduring strategic relationships with financial advisers. His responsibilities encompass offering support in navigating regulatory and business challenges and assisting firms in their growth and operational efficiency endeavours.
Canning shared that he looked forward to “continuing to support advisers to run efficient businesses and make the best decisions for the benefit of their clients”.
Folley commented: “Canning’s appointment will allow us to broaden our focus on showcasing how the firm can help advisers deliver financial planning outcomes for their customers as we continue to roll out new improvements and developments.”
