Specialist active manager Polar Capital Holdings has appointed Peter Leane to the newly-created position of head of the Nordic region.
The appointment marks a return to the asset management industry Leane worked in for over 30 years, prior to a recent two-year sabbatical.
Leane previously worked as managing director at BlackRock where he helped build the company’s Scandinavian business.
He has also worked at Merill Lynch Investment Management and Mercury Asset Management.
Polar Capital’s chief executive Gavin Rochussen said: “The Nordic region is an important one for us, so finding an experienced and proven relationship manager was critical.”
