Chicago-based asset manager Nuveen has appointed Laura Cooper as a global investment strategist based in London.
She joins the $1.2tn asset manager’s team of analysts around the world today and will report to Joseph Higgins, Nuveen’s head of portfolio management for fixed income.
Cooper will spearhead the development of Nuveen’s fixed income investment strategy and provide clients with guidance on global market trends, macroeconomic factors and asset allocation strategies with a focus on G10 rates and currencies.
Cooper joins from Blackrock where she worked as a senior macro investment strategist. Earlier in her career, she held key roles at Bloomberg and RBC Wealth Management.
She is an active member of a number of female investment networks and mentoring schemes, including Women in Banking and Finance, and Girls are Investors.
