Investment manager AllianceBernstein L.P. has launched two new funds using a systematic approach based on quantitative research to build diversified portfolios.
The AB European Corporate Bond Portfolio invests in Euro-denominated, investment grade, corporate bonds, while the AB USD Corporate Bond Portfolio invests in US Dollar denominated, investment grade, corporate bonds. Both portfolios use a dynamic, multi-factor approach to identify securities with the potential for strong future risk-adjusted returns.
According to the providers, this approach implemented by the investment management team through their proprietary research, investment and trading models considers several factors in seeking to generate returns through a “bottom-up” security selection process focused on the “analysis of individual issuers rather than market conditions”.
The funds are managed by Scott DiMaggio and Bernd Wuebben, alongside Jamie Harding on the AB European Corporate Bond Portfolio, and Tim Kurpis for the AB USD Corporate Bond Portfolio.
