Northern Trust has made senior leadership appointments effective January 1, 2026, including the appointment of Clive Bellows and Guy Gibson as co-presidents of asset servicing.
Bellows, president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Gibson, global head of institutional banking and markets, will succeed Teresa Parker, who is set to retire after more than 40 years with the firm.
Melanie Pickett, currently head of asset servicing for the Americas, will move into a newly created role as chief transformation officer. Pickett will lead firmwide initiatives focused on accelerating innovation and responding to market demands.
All three executives will report to Northern Trust chief executive officer Michael O’Grady. Gibson and Pickett will also join Bellows as members of the Northern Trust Leadership Team.

Bellows will continue in his role as EMEA president alongside his new responsibilities. He joined Northern Trust in 2011 and has held various roles, including head of global fund services for EMEA and country head for Ireland.
Gibson will remain responsible for institutional banking and global markets. Gibson joined Northern Trust nearly a decade ago through the acquisition of Aviate Global LLP, which he co-founded.
Pickett brings more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning strategy, operations and technology. Since joining Northern Trust in 2017, she has driven growth for Asset Owners Americas and led the launch of Front Office Solutions. Prior to this, she spent more than a decade in Morgan Stanley’s Global Wealth Management division.
