Northern Trust has hired a former State Street equity manager as part of an expansion drive for its global index capability in London.
Nigel Tyler is now senior index equity portfolio manager covering global equity index portfolios for Europe, Middle East and Africa clients. At State Street Global Advisors Tyler was a senior portfolio manager for global equity beta solutions.
Northern Trust runs a number of index strategies from London, including developed and emerging market equities, small cap equities, and futures- and currency-overlay.
