Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) has appointed Guido Baltussen as the Head of Quantitative Strategies, International.
This newly created position is part of NTAM’s strategy to expand its international quantitative strategies.
Baltussen brings extensive experience in factor investing to NTAM and will report to Michael Hunstad, the deputy chief investment officer and chief investment officer of global equities at NTAM.
His role focuses on leading NTAM’s international quantitative strategies, including research, innovation and strategy development, particularly in the EMEA and APAC regions.
Previously at Robeco, NN Investment Partners and ING Investment Management, Baltussen is also a finance professor at Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
His appointment is a strategic move by NTAM to enhance its global quantitative investment capabilities.
Baltussen’s experience and academic contributions are expected to support NTAM’s growth in this sector.
