M&G plc has appointed Simon Tasker as its new chief transformation officer to drive the group’s next phase of organisational restructuring and growth.
Tasker, who will join on January 12, 2026, and sit on the group executive committee subject to regulatory approval, will report directly to chief executive Andrea Rossi.
Tasker has more than 30 years’ experience leading large-scale transformation programmes across major financial institutions. His career includes senior roles at Barclays and NatWest, as well as a partnership at Deloitte. He also spent several years at Credit Suisse, where he served as managing director and head of strategic change, legal entity structuring and transformation.
He replaces Benoît Macé, who is leaving M&G at the end of the year after more than three years with the business.
Tokenisation of funds: from pilot projects to industry transformation
Rossi said: “I’m delighted to welcome Simon to M&G. He brings more than 30 years’ experience delivering complex transformation across blue-chip financial services organisations. His proven ability to drive large scale growth, integration and restructuring in complex, regulated environments makes him an excellent addition to our leadership team as we continue to transform M&G.”
Tasker commented: “I would like to thank Benoît for his leadership and contribution to M&G over the past three years. He has been instrumental in reshaping our Group strategy and driving transformation that strengthened our foundations for growth. We wish him the very best for the future.
I’m excited to be joining M&G, its transformation agenda has already delivered significant progress and there is a real sense of momentum in the business. I look forward to working with colleagues to help accelerate the next phase of M&G’s strategy, ensuring we continue to deliver value for customers, clients and shareholders.”
