Harvest Global Investments, an Asian markets specialist, has launched its first Ucits-compliant sub-fund to be known as the Harvest China Evolution Equity Fund.
The product will primarily invest in equity or equity-related securities and will provide investors with access to all Chinese investment channels, including Hong Kong-listed securities.
The fund will be managed by Yannan Chenye, portfolio manager and head of China research at Harvest.
Peter Lindqvist, chief executive of Harvest Global Investments UK, said: “There is potential for quantum growth in Chinese equity markets which requires local insights and rigorous research to capture.”
The fund is currently available to institutional and wholesale investors in the UK, Luxembourg, Finland and Switzerland. The fund will be registered for distribution in other jurisdictions at a later stage.
