GAM has opened an office in Copenhagen in a move to strengthen its presence in the Nordics.
The Swiss fund manager said the establishment of a Denmark branch underscores the importance of the Nordic market.
Gianluca Cerami, client director Northern Europe and the appointed head of the Copenhagen branch will work to drive growth in the region, where GAM already has an established client base.
GAM chief executive Peter Sanderson said: “The opening of the Copenhagen office is a strategic step to strengthen our distribution in the Nordic countries.”
Cerami added: “The Nordic countries are highly developed markets with a demand for sophisticated investment solutions.”
