Vincenzo (Enzo) Vedda will join the executive board of Frankfurt-headquartered asset manager DWS Group as chief investment officer, effective August 1, 2025.
Vedda will oversee the firm’s liquid business and contribute to shaping its investment strategy at the executive level.
Vedda was appointed chief investment officer in November 2024, where he focused on unifying portfolio management, the Chief Investment Office, and economic research.
“With Enzo Vedda, we are pleased to have a Chief Investment Officer joining the Executive Board again,” said Stefan Hoops, CEO and chairman of the DWS management board. “Enzo is an experienced capital markets expert. With his clear performance orientation and precise knowledge of clients’ needs, he is the right person to strategically position DWS’ capital markets expertise for the future and to deliver the added value our clients expect from DWS.”

Vedda brings over a decade of experience at DWS. He joined the firm in 2013 as co-head of global equities trading, later assuming leadership of the global trading business in 2017. From 2020, he oversaw DWS’s European client business (excluding Germany and Austria) and led the global wholesale business.
More recently, Vedda became head of active portfolio management in late 2022, adding responsibility for passive portfolio management in 2023. His breadth of experience across trading, client services, and portfolio management positions him to play a key role in DWS’s investment leadership.
Before joining DWS, Vedda held sales trading roles in equities and fixed income at Morgan Stanley and DZ Bank in London and Frankfurt.
