Caceis, the asset servicing banking group of Crédit Agricole and Santander dedicated to asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds and banks, has integrated a dedicated digital assets business line into its core client offering.
The group has achieved Digital Asset Service Provider status in France and Virtual Asset Service Provider certification in Spain and Luxembourg, strengthening its position in regulated digital asset custody and distribution.

Caceis is a key sponsor of this year’s Luxembourg Blockchain Week, taking place from December 9 to 13.
Philippe Bourgues, country managing director of Caceis Bank Luxembourg Branch, highlighted the strategic importance of the group’s Digital Asset Centre of Excellence in Luxembourg. “I am delighted that our development plans have led to the creation of a Digital Asset Centre of Excellence here in Luxembourg, providing comprehensive support for group-wide clients operating within this new digital ecosystem,” Bourgues said.
Caceis’ new offering includes secure custody for cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, as well as the native distribution of tokenised fund shares via public blockchains.
Laurent Majchrzak, global head of digital assets at Caceis, emphasised the seamless integration of these services into the company’s standard client offerings. “Our services represent a major step towards the safe and secure adoption of this new technology by traditional finance players,” he stated, adding that it simplifies the process for clients exploring blockchain technology and crypto assets.
