Peter Long, head of Brewin Dolphin’s London office, has resigned from the firm after 21 years to spend more time with his family.
Since joining in 1995, he held roles as co-head of the firm’s London office and most recently, as a divisional director. He was appointed co-head of the London office alongside Rob Burgeman in 2013, replacing Stephen Ford and Rupert Tyler, who had been promoted within the organisation.
Long started his career in private client investment management at Kleinwort Benson in 1986.
In the wake of his departure, his duties will be managed on an interim basis by William Hepburne-Scott, who will be assisted by a number of divisional directors and private client co-head Charlie Ferry.
A spokesperson for the firm said a new London chief would be recruited in due course, and there would be no change to their business strategy as a result of the move.
