AllianceBernstein has appointed Omar Rauf, formerly at Robeco, to the new role of UK retail sales director.
Based in London, he will be responsible for developing the firm’s business in the UK wholesale market, reporting to head of UK retail, Lee Matthews.
Rauf has ten years of asset management experience, most recently as sales manager for global financial institutions across the UK and Ireland at Robeco Investment Management.
According to Lee Matthews, the UK wholesale space has been a key component of the firm’s strategic expansion into the European intermediary market.
“With an expanded UK sales team we are well placed to provide a more tailored service to the UK’s discretionary and advisory channels across the UK,” he said.
