UK-based investment manager Abrdn has established an executive sustainability committee in a move to bolster its sustainability initiatives.
The new committee will unify sustainable leads across investments, platforms and corporate sustainability, ensuring strategic alignment and direction on key sustainability issues.

Sarah Moody, who joined Abrdn in January 2023 as chief corporate affairs and investor relations officer, will now serve as chief corporate affairs and sustainability officer of the committee. She will continue to chair the Abrdn Charitable Foundation and remain a trustee of the Abrdn Financial Fairness Trust.
Moody’s career before Abrdn includes co-founding Future 30 Funds, a start-up asset manager focused on sustainable investing, and serving as group director of corporate affairs and investor relations at Pennon Group plc.
Abrdn relaunches two fixed income funds amid persistent inflation and volatility
Kristina Church, who will step in as the global head of corporate sustainability from June. Kristina, formerly with BNY Mellon, will report to Sarah and work closely with Dan Grandage, chief sustainability officer, investments.
At BNY Mellon, Church served as global head of sustainable solutions, overseeing sustainability and ESG initiatives, regulatory reporting and net zero methodologies. Her background also includes roles at Lombard Odier Investment Managers and Barclays Investment Bank.
