ABN Amro Investment Solutions, the asset management wing of Dutch banking group ABN Amro, has named Martin Stolker its deputy chief investment officer.
Stolker, currently head of manager research, will work alongside Christophe Boucher, who became CIO in January after the departure of former CIO Eric Ebermeyer.
He became head of manager selection in 2019, having joined the company in 2010. Previously, he was responsible for portfolio advisory, fund advisory and fiduciary management duties.
Chloé de Calatchi, formerly senior operational due diligence analyst, has been appointed to head of manager selection.
Elsewhere within the manager selection team, Sophie Chauveau will step away from Asian and emerging market equities to focus on European equities.
Laurent Bouin is to step into the Asian and emerging markets equities role, having previously been responsible for global and thematic equities.
ABN Amro IS has ambitions to expand its European ESG offering. Following the appointment of Boucher in January, François-Xavier Gennetais, CEO, said: “2023 opens a new chapter for ABN AMRO Investment Solutions. The appointment of Christophe Boucher as our new CIO is supporting our ambition to be the leading sustainable multimanager and sub-advisory platform in continental Europe.”
In November 2022, AMB Amro IS turned to BNP Paribas and its securities services business to provide a range of dealing and middle office outsourcing services connected via BlackRock’s portfolio management software Aladdin.
In June, BNP Paribas approached the Dutch government, which owns a 57% stake in the overarching ABN Amro banking group, over a potential takeover deal, the Financial Times reported.
