Luxembourg-based asset management firm FundRock, formerly owned by RBS, has boosted its alternatives team with the hire of Gregory Robinson-Kok to head the business.
Described by the firm as a “A 12-year veteran of Franklin Templeton Investments”, he held various positions at the US powerhouse, including conducting officer for the firm’s Luxembourg entity and regional head of its alternatives business in Asia.
Last December, FundRock was purchased by French private equity firm BlackFin Capital Partners from RBS. At the time the firm had €33 billion in assets under management.
“I believe that Greg’s product knowledge and hands-on global experience will add considerable value to the FundRock team,” said Revel Wood, chief executive officer of FundRock.
