The Italian arm of Investec Asset Management has entered into a distribution agreement with Online Sim, a web-based investment platform.
Online Sim purports to be Italy’s first and largest website of its kind. Retail and institutional investors can access over 4,000 funds including Sicavs offered by more than 130 asset management firms nationally and abroad with a click.
As a result of the partnership, a number of Investec funds can be accessed via Online Sim, including European Equity, Global Franchise, Emerging Market Local Currency Dynamic Debt and Global Multi Asset Income.
Investec established operations in Italy in 2014. A spokesperson for the firm said the partnership will significantly increase Investec’s exposure to Italy’s retail investors, a key priority for the company.
