London-based investment boutique Zennor Asset Management has appointed Tatjana Evans-MacLeod as its first CEO, taking her from Edinburgh-based Baillie Gifford where she worked as a senior executive.
Evans-MacLeod brings extensive international experience to the role; having started her career with J.P. Morgan in New York, she then moved to Morgan Stanley in a capital markets role and later to Credit Suisse First Boston.
Since joining Baillie Gifford in 2015, Tatjana worked as a relationship lead and investment specialist covering public equity, securing new mandates and building strong partnerships with institutional investors.
Founded in 2020 by James Salter and David Mitchinson, today Zennor Asset Management manages just under $2 billion in assets.
Its inaugural fund, the IUP Zennor Japan Fund¹, was launched five years ago, with its second, the WS Japan Equity Income Fund, launched in April 2023. Zennor also launched a micro-cap-focused RAIF², the Zennor Japan Special Situations Fund, in July 2024.
Salter, said: “Since founding Zennor just over five years ago, our mission has been to build a specialist investment boutique and the time has now come to strengthen our leadership team. Tatjana’s appointment allows David and I to focus solely on managing money as we enter a new phase of growth.
“We are thrilled that she has agreed to join us, moving from Edinburgh to London to take up her new role. Tatjana’s vision and proven track record in investment management and strategic development, and an extensive global network, make her the ideal appointment to our leadership team.”
