ETF provider WisdomTree has strengthened its digital assets platform with the appointment of two digital assets specialists.
Benjamin Dean joins the fund manager’s new digital assets team as a director, while Alice Liu joins the European research team as a senior associate.
Dean joined WisdomTree from Hiscox Insurance Group where he was cyber catastrophe research lead.
Prior to joining Hiscox, he provided consulting services on emerging technology, including digital assets, for various public and private sector organisations such as Coin Center, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the European Parliament.
He will play an active role in WisdomTree’s digital asset product development process, advising on overall strategy and develop connectivity to projects and services providers within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Liu joins from Coutts & Co. where she was responsible for multi-asset product research and reviewed digital assets route-to-market options for private wealth and institutional investors.
Reporting to Christopher Gannatti, head of research in Europe, Liu will focus solely on digital assets, supporting WisdomTree’s digital assets distribution efforts in Europe and complementing the existing cryptocurrency expertise within the team.
