US-based ETP provider WisdomTree has launched its first sustainable equity ETF, in collaboration with Irish Life Investment Managers.
The WisdomTree Global Sustainable Equity Ucits ETF has been listed today on Germany’s Börse Xetra and will be listed on the London Stock Exchange tomorrow.
The fund seeks to track the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Solactive WisdomTree Global Sustainable Equity Ucits Index, is classified as an article 9 fund under the SFDR and has a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.29%.
The strategy is designed to track the performance of listed companies from developed markets that positively contribute to social and/or environmental objectives according to defined sustainability criteria.
Alexis Marinof, Head of Europe at WisdomTree, said: “Until now, our sustainable investing solutions have leveraged our expertise and expert partnerships in commodities and thematic equities, providing access to the metals and companies linked to the energy transition.
“Today, in collaboration with Irish Life Investment Managers, we have launched our first core sustainable equity ETF. The new article 9 ETF provides a differentiated approach to global developed market equities by integrating 11 of the 17 [of the UN’s] Sustainable Development Goals in the investment process.”
