US exchange-traded product provider WisdomTree has appointed Christopher Gannatti as head of research in Europe.
Gannatti was previously associate director at WisdomTree’s headquarters in New York.
The move follows WisdomTree’s acquisition of ETF Securities’ European exchange-traded commodity, currency and short-and-leveraged business.
James Butterfill was previously head of research Europe for ETF Securities.
Gannatti will lead an analyst team comprised of Nick Leung, associate director and Florian Ginez, senior quantitative associate at WisdomTree, as well as Nitesh Shah, director, and Aneeka Gupta, associate director, who have joined from ETF Securities.
David Abner, head of WisdomTree Europe, said: “This is a transformational time for WisdomTree as we add scale, diversification and profitability to our business in Europe with the acquisition of ETF Securities.”
