WisdomTree Investments, an exchange-traded fund (ETF) provider, has promoted Morgan Lee from its US office to head of distribution in Europe.
Joining WisdomTree in 2006, Lee was most recently based on the US West Coast as a regional director of distribution, where he built relationships with financial planners, wealth managers, family offices and asset managers.
Previously he worked in business development with iShares, then part of Barclays Global Investors, before its acquisition by BlackRock. He also worked in a similar role at Franklin Templeton.
Sales teams covering the UK, as well as France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the Nordics and Switzerland will support him.
WisdomTree’s European head David Abner credited Lee as one of the most “seasoned” salespeople at WisdomTree, and said he had played an important role in building the US business.
In June, the firm launched two funds that chase dividends from US and global companies.
WisdomTree Investments manages assets of $44.6 billion (€39.57 billion), as of June 30 2016.
