US-based ETP sponsor WisdomTree promotes Alexis Marinof to European CEO.
Marinof has led the firm’s European exchange-traded fund (ETF) and exchange-traded product (ETP) business since 2019 as Head of WisdomTree Europe.
The Belgian national joined WisdomTree Europe in July 2017 as Head of European Distribution, a position he held until April 2018, when he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer to oversee the post-acquisition integration of the European business of ETF Securities and expand WisdomTree’s multi-product European ETP business.
Prior to joining WisdomTree, Alexis held various senior roles at State Street Global Advisors, including Emea Head of SPDR ETFs and COO For Emea Distribution and managed teams across the Middle East, Africa and Nordic regions.
He will continue reporting to WisdomTree’s global President and COO, Jarrett Lilien, who said: “Alexis has played a critical role in driving WisdomTree’s success in Europe.
“His leadership has positioned us as a key player in the region, and his elevation to CEO will further strengthen our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.”

WisdomTree’s European business recently hit a new record AuM of $34.4bn under Marinof’s leadership.
