Alternative asset management group Tikehau Capital has appointed Christoph Rinnert as the new head of private equity, Germany.
In this role, Rinnert will spearhead the strategic development and management of the asset manager’s private equity portfolio in the DACH region, which includes Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The asset manager’s private equity approach targets mid-market companies with high growth potential, particularly in sectors driven by digitalisation, sustainability, energy transition, regenerative agriculture, cybersecurity and aerospace and defence. Rinnert’s responsibilities will focus on identifying and executing investment opportunities that align with its growth-oriented strategy.
This appointment further strengthens Tikehau Capital’s investment capabilities in Germany across its four core asset classes: Private Debt, Private Equity, Real Assets and Capital Markets Strategies.
Edmond de Rothschild AM hires DACH’s head of distribution
Based in the Frankfurt office, Rinnert will report directly to Dominik P. Felsmann, head of Germany, and Emmanuel Laillier, head of private equity at Tikehau Capital.
Before joining Tikehau, Rinnert was a Director at 3i Deutschland Industriebeteiligungs GmbH, where he led DACH Industrial Technology initiatives and played a pivotal role in managing portfolio companies and executing major transactions. His earlier career includes roles in M&A advisory at Rothschild GmbH and PricewaterhouseCoopers AG.
Rinnert holds a Master of Engineering from Imperial College London, specialising in electrical and electronic engineering with management.
