Investment management firm, T. Rowe Price, has hired Maria Elena Drew director of research, responsible investing. The position was newly created.
Drew will partner with Donna Anderson, head of corporate governance, and work with T. Rowe Price’s investment teams developing an ESG framework across geographies and asset classes.
She will report to Rob Sharps, group chief investment officer and co-head of global equity. She will be based in London.
Drew joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she worked for nine years as an equity analyst, portfolio manager and ESG specialist.
The company said Drew’s appointment underscored its commitment to the incorporation of environmental, social and governance considerations into its investment research process.
