London-based growth equity boutique Stonehage Fleming has appointed Prandhana Naidu as deputy portfolio manager of the firm’s Global Best Ideas (GBI) Equity Strategy, which manages $4bn in assets.
Naidu, who continues her role as senior equity research analyst within the GBI team, will co-manage the flagship strategy alongside Carolyn Bell, who became lead portfolio manager of GBI this month.
Naidu, who has 15 years of investment experience, joined the GBI team in July 2024 from Melville Douglas Investment Management, where she was a senior global equity analyst and co-fund manager.
Launched in 2013, GBI is a high-conviction equity fund investing in the world’s best quality growth companies. Since inception, the fund has generated a compound annual return of 10.5%.
Bell said: “Pran has been an important member of the team since joining the business and has added considerable value through her high-quality company and industry research. Her promotion to deputy portfolio manager recognises both her contribution to GBI and the significant experience she has acquired working on global equity mandates throughout her career. I’m delighted that she will be supporting me in this important role going forward.”
