Keith Skeoch, the chief executive of Standard Life Aberdeen, has been appointed chair of the UK’s Investment Association (IA) board.
Skeoch replaces Peter Harrison, the chief executive of Schroders, after his three-year term as chair comes to an end.
Meanwhile Michelle Scrimgeour, chief executive of Legal & General Investment Management, and Patrick Thomson, Emea chief executive of JP Morgan Asset Management, have been appointed deputy chairs.
The three were appointed to the most senior positions on the Investment Association board, following a board meeting and vote.
The trio will assume their roles from the beginning of May.
