Andrew Benton (pictured) has joined State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) as head of the UK Institutional business.
Benton joins SSGA as a senior managing director from Baring Asset Management where he was head of sales, business development and international client services.
Prior to this he was head of UK institutional sales for Schroder Investment Management and has also held roles at RCM, including director of institutional sales and client servicing, and Royal London Asset Management,.
Benton will be responsible for distribution across SSGA’s UK institutional business segments including defined benefit, defined contribution and fiduciary services.
He will report to Mike Karpik, regional head of SSGA.
Benton succeeds Mark McNulty in the role.
