Sibos 2022: In Focus
Sibos returns as an in-person event with a packed conference programme this year. From October 10-13, Amsterdam’s RAI convention centre will host more than 250 expert speakers from across the financial ecosystem, bringing fascinating debate and big-picture outlooks from some of the biggest names in finance.
The Sibos 2022 conference agenda’s theme, “Progressive finance for a changing world”, recognises the need to embrace digital transformation, successfully navigate new risks and drive sustainability and ethical change. Indeed, organisations face unprecedented challenges in adapting and growing in uncertain times. While new risks emerge, so too do new opportunities for financial services providers to lead the way in technological innovation and drive positive global change.
Sibos 2022 will explore how the industry is embracing the digital landscape and technological opportunities. It will examine how financial services providers can leverage innovations such as AI, machine learning, big data and privacy-enhancing technologies to deliver operational efficiencies and an enhanced service offering. Participants will also learn about the latest developments in digital currencies, decentralised finance and the digitisation of trade.
Driving sustainability and ethics is stated as pivotal to Sibos 2022, from the event build through to the conference agenda. Issues such as climate disclosures, ESG standardisation, ethical investing, greenwashing and financial inclusion will form key areas of debate and discussion. Another is how organisations can lead positive change across the globe and incorporate non-financial factors into their strategy and processes.
