Rotterdam-headquartered asset manager Robeco has appointed Anton Eser as its new chief investment officer (CIO), effective September 1, 2025.
Eser will also join the firm’s executive committee, succeeding Mark van der Kroft, who will retire on October 1 after a 25-year tenure at the company.
Eser brings more than two decades of investment leadership to the role. One of the highlights of his career is his role as CIO at Legal & General Investment Management.
Robeco expands emerging market offerings
At LGIM, Eser oversaw a team of 350 investment professionals across multiple asset classes, including fixed income, equities and multi-asset strategies. He also led the integration of ESG considerations into investment processes and helped launch the firm’s flagship Future World fund range.
More recently, Eser served as CIO of fintech firm 10X Investments in South Africa, focusing on multi-asset solutions tailored to retail clients.
