RBC BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Doris Santillana to the newly created role of head of France, business development, as part of its strategy to strengthen its local presence and accelerate growth across Europe.
Santillana will report to Viola Patock, head of continental Europe, and will be based in RBC BlueBay’s newly opened Paris office on Avenue Raymond Poincaré, in the 16th arrondissement. The location also houses RBC Capital Markets, which has operated in France for more than 25 years.
Bringing over two decades of asset management experience, Santillana joins from Allianz Global Investors, where she was head of wholesale for France and Monaco. Prior to that, she held various roles at Legg Mason, including country head and head of development for France.

She will be supported by Edoardo Bergamo Andreis, associate director, business development, who has relocated from London to Paris to bolster RBC BlueBay’s expansion in France and Monaco.
Patock said: “Doris’ extensive experience and strong relationships within the wholesale and institutional landscape will be key as we enhance our presence in France. While we have been active in the country for over ten years now, this appointment, alongside the opening of our Paris office and Edoardo’s transfer, demonstrates our commitment to the market while marking a decisive step in our long-term objective to becoming Europe’s leading active manager.”
Doris added: “I am very enthusiastic about joining RBC BlueBay and being involved in the opening of the Paris office. The local presence will raise the firm’s profile further and will enable us to enhance the service we offer to French investors. In my new role, I can draw on all my past experience, both in terms of client types and their unique requirements and the diversity of products and strategies, something I am very excited about.”
