RBC BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Maria Sola Bastida as senior associate, business development, Iberia.
RBC BlueBay is the asset management division of Royal Bank of Canada in the EMEA and APAC, offering global investment solutions to institutional and wholesale investors through various funds and strategies.
Sola Bastida is based in the asset manager’s Madrid office and reports to Borja Mateo, director, business development, Madrid.
She joined RBC BlueBay from M&G Investments in Spain, where she was a client relationship manager. She previously held a marketing role with Amundi Asset Management.
Mateo said: “This appointment enables us to continue providing service to clients across the region as we build our business in Iberia.”
“The firm has a reputation in specialist fixed income, equities with a responsible ownership focus, and an ESG approach,” commented Sola Bastida, adding that she plans to “partner with clients in Spain and across the region.”
