Principal Global Investors has appointed Frank Richter to lead the firm’s German and Austrian operations.
In the new role Richter will be responsible for fostering relationships with financial intermediaries and institutional investors.
While the Iowa-based investment house has been active in Germany since 2003 the company has only recently started to focus on the Austrian market as well.
Richter joins Principal from Standard Life Investments where he served as head of institutional business for Germany and Austria.
During this time, he oversaw and developed wholesale and institutional sales teams and executed distribution strategies.
He was previously head of institutional business for Germany and Austria for AXA Investment Managers.
