UK-based specialist fund manager Polar Capital Holdings, will launch its UK Value Opportunities Fund tomorrow.
The fund will be managed by Georgina Hamilton, who joined Polar Capital from Miton Group on October 6, 2016. At Miton Group, she managed the £869 million (€896 million) Miton UK Value Opportunities Fund alongside George Godber.
Godber will join Polar Capital in April this year, as per his contractual agreement, to manage the fund with Hamilton.
The firm’s UK Value Opportunities Fund has been designed to achieve long-term capital appreciation, unearthing companies whose value the manager does not believe is fully appreciated.
The fund will invest in UK companies of various sizes and seeks to outperform the FTSE All Share.
