Pinsent Masons has hired funds partner Benoît Rose to join the multinational law firm’s Luxembourg office.
Rose, who has expertise in fund structuring for traditional and alternative assets, including private equity, real estate, debt and infrastructure, will assume charge as the head of Pinsent Masons’ funds practice from August 16.
His multi-jurisdictional work entails supporting clients in Luxembourg, France and the UK, advising managers and service providers concerning products, business efficiency improvement and distribution. Rose also provides regulatory advice, such as support on licensing for asset managers and fund administrators.
Rose will join from Ogier in Luxembourg, where he has been a partner and co-head of the firm’s funds practice.
Michel Bulach, head of Pinsent Masons’ Luxembourg office, said: “Luxembourg is leading the European funds market and Benoît’s expertise in alternative, private market investment funds and investment structures fits perfectly with client needs in this area.”
Rose said: “It’s an exciting opportunity for me to participate in developing a funds practice in Luxembourg and to have a role to play in expanding the firm’s European funds offering.”
Since its launch in July 2022, the firm’s Luxembourg team has advised on many mandates, such as: advising one of Europe’s leading fund service platforms with real estate fund restructuring and refinancing transactions and fund regulatory advice, advising a Luxembourg fund regulatory assistance for the setup of a sustainability fund vehicle, and assisting a Czech investor regarding its investments in a Luxembourg AIF.
