Ostrum Asset Management has announced the appointment of Olivier Houix as its new CEO, succeeding Philippe Setbon.
The executive change coincides with Setbon’s new role as CEO of Natixis Investment Managers, where he will oversee asset and wealth management for Groupe BPCE.
Houix, who will report directly to Philippe Setbon, brings over two decades of experience within the Group’s asset management sector.
Beginning his career in 1997 at Banque Indosuez’s General Inspection department, Houix joined Groupe BPCE in 2001. His journey through the organisation has seen him hold various roles, including positions in the General Inspection department of Natixis, the strategy department of Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne and later in the Asset Management division starting in 2005.
Olivier Houix’s career milestones include serving as project manager and director of organisation, deputy director of Natixis Asset Management’s finance and operations division, CEO of Natixis Asset Management Finance and head of internal audit at Natixis Investment Managers.
In September 2022, Houix was appointed chief sustainability officer for Groupe BPCE’s global businesses.
At 51, Houix, a EM Lyon Business School and Sciences Po Strasbourg graduate, is poised to leverage his experience to lead Ostrum Asset Management. His appointment is expected to bolster the firm’s insurance and fixed-income position.
