Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has poached Invesco Asset Management bond team Mark Nash and Nick Wall.
The pair will initially report to head of fixed income Christine Johnson. Nash (pictured) joined the firm June 27 as head of global bonds, while Wall’s official start date is July 4.
The pair left Invesco in April this year, after lengthy tenures; Nash joined in 2001, Wall in 2007. Nash led the firm’s fixed income global multi-sector portfolio management team, and Wall ran a number of multi-currency global bond mandates for institutions.
Nash is also scheduled to assume control of the firm’s £241 million (€289 million) Global Strategic Bond fund on August 1, taking over from Johnson and John Peta, head of emerging market debt, subject to regulatory approval. A spokesperson for the firm said the fund’s strategy and objective will remain the same.
He is also expected to offer the fixed income team guidance and leadership on developed market government bonds.
